Got gum stuck on your carpet? [Hack #024]

A sticky situation

It’s the simplest thing to do, but we get so busy we forget to manage it. Make it a nightly side-work item to walk the floor of your carpeted area looking for gum that has either been fallen from underneath a table or a guest has carelessly dropped. Once found it’s simple three step method to remove it.

  1. Take ice and rub it on the gum for one minute
  2. The gum will harden and then you can likely peel it up, but you can use spatula
  3. Wash the spot with soapy water to clean excess and stains

Your carpet is a very expensive capital expenditure to replace and should be treated well to insure it lasts its full recommended useful life.
