A sticky situation
It’s the simplest thing to do, but we get so busy we forget to manage it. Make it a nightly side-work item to walk the floor of your carpeted area looking for gum that has either been fallen from underneath a table or a guest has carelessly dropped. Once found it’s simple three step method to remove it.
- Take ice and rub it on the gum for one minute
- The gum will harden and then you can likely peel it up, but you can use spatula
- Wash the spot with soapy water to clean excess and stains
Your carpet is a very expensive capital expenditure to replace and should be treated well to insure it lasts its full recommended useful life.
