Create Snapchat Geofilters for the Next Big Game [Hack #105]

Spreading the word about your big events

A few months back, Snapchat introduced a new feature that allows users to create custom Geofilter overlays that can be placed on top of your guests’ photos and video clips and that reflect your location.

Geofilters are a fun way to share where people are and what they’re up to. If you have location services and filters enabled, Geofilters appear at thousands of places around the world. Now you can create your own for your restaurant.

Snapchat’s Geofilter studio will allow you to customize just about everything in their beginner templates. You have free range to get as creative as possible – so show off your brand’s personality. (We recommend uploading your logo).

Once you have your design chosen, pick the proximity of where you want your filter to be visible (the larger the distance, the higher the price of service). The default setting is $5.99 for a few hours and a minimum area of 20,000 square feet -- perfect for a big game.

Here’s our example.
